Description
This gorgeous Georgian mourning band is a beautiful and unique example! It is perfect for any collector or if you’re just starting to collect. It weighs 4.9 grams of rosy yellow gold. It’s a nice heavy weight. The size (fit) is approximately a 7-7.25 The bottom edge stops at a 7.75 on the mandrel. The width is 8.6mm. I have touched up the enamel. The outside of the band reads IN MEMORY OF in a beautiful gothic raised font that sits on top of thin diagonal lines. This gives the ring so much dimension.
The inside of the ring is inscribed John Freeman Esq. Obt. 1 Aug.t 1826 Æ. 89. The inscription has been done in a delicate cursive script that is just so beautiful.
The other ring pictured and box are available separately.
