Here are some knurled nuts with washers that
look
just like the originals. Please look at the photos, which show both originals (left) and these replacements (right).
The original knurled nuts used by AR, KLH, Advent, Bose and others were nickel-plated brass. The nickel/brass ones have become expensive and nearly impossible to find. These stainless ones look nearly identical to the original nickel-plated brass.
By going with stainless steel you can save some money. And the stainless should stay bright and shiny forever!
Please note: These will not fit the KLH Model Twenty Plus.
