Pioneer SX-580 Silver Face Receiver

his receiver was part of my first vintage sound system in my college apartment. It served me well, but I had to upgrade to a higher-wattage receiver for my new speakers.
I cleaned the potentiometers to reduce the crackling noise when you turn the volume knob. It runs super clean, with one minor flaw.
I used an aux bluetooth adapter and found that the aux pathway in the preamp is a little off. So, instead I used it on “phono” (turn the bass way down) or even better on “tape” (turn everything up a few notches and use loud mode). Loud mode is a beast on this thing. Aux works on mono audio but I don’t recommend it, the other options sound way better.
This receiver is a GREAT entry level piece, and 20 watts is enough to power most speakers from its era (such as my Sansui 2500s as pictured) please feel free to message with any questions.
