I send 2 pics, just to show the DIY interconnect with your cable inside. For shielding I used a piece of ariel (TV) cable (with empty channels inside).

I use your sliver cable ... to make a upgrade cable for my M-audio IE-40 earphones.

...interconnection between PCB and RCA sockets replaced by pure silver wires. I use 2 wires for each channel (one for signal, other one for return) and usb cable screen and outer shell for EMI protection. Screen is connected to signal ground on the pcb side and left free on RCA side (something like Van-den-Hull D-102III interconnection cable)...

    My RCa plugs, your silver.

Overall I’m very happy: A similar set of cables from an online retailer, using their own “custom made stranded silver” sells for 5. I made this for approximately (4x 4’ strands) and I’m hard pressed to tell the difference between the two, besides the presentation (plugs etc.).

And finally a test report by

    :
Adam’s cable is a 14-core dia 0.06 mm 99.99% silver one sold on ebay.
It was compared to a dia 0.5 mm 1-core 99.999% silver, for the simple reason I can not get better under 100 Euros in the market, so this is my etalon.
First I prepared a 0.8 m length interconnect out of Adam’s cable. Adam’s cable was easy to work with. The test was performed in three sessions for not making any mistakes.
I try to summarize shortly what was heard:
    - There were only slight differences between them, so they are in one category.
    - The 5N (99.999) proved more detailed in the bass and treble section.
    - The 4N (99.99) sounded more natural in the middle section and gave more 3-dimensional details (but only in the middle).
    - It is hard to say which one is better.
I have to give some remarks to this matter. The majority of the listeners (customers) do not have equipment - good enough -to hear and decide the quality of a cable. Usually they forget about to by decent loudspeakers because it is very expensive. CDs: if you buy 10 CDs in the store, about 2 out of the 10 were made correctly in the studio, 8 sounds awfully. So, when listening one has to be careful. CD players with good sound overpriced, under 1000 Euros they are not sold. This way it is cheaper to grade up a commercial one, which is suitable for.
    For testing I used CDs:
    - Djabe/ Tour 2000/ 4. Caravan,
    - Jazz at the Pawnshop/ 1. Limehouse Blues,
    - Alvin Lee/ Keep on Rockin/ 2. Long Legs.
    Test equipment:
    - CD player: Rotel RCD-855 (drive: CDM2/19, dac: TDA1541), non-oversampling mod, tube output (6N2P).
    - Amplifier: DIY tube, PushPull, EL34, triode mode, no feedback.
    - Loudspeaker: Bosendorfer VC2.
For the first session the source was the Rotel, for counter-check secondly I used Philips CD104 (dirve: CDM1, dac: TDA1540, non-oversampling mod, FET output. Because of listening the middle section better I decided to hear the most beautiful musical instrument – the female voice. I put on the best voices in Europe: Linda Kiraly and I went far (to east), Julia Savicheva and Eva Polna (from Gosty iz Budushego). All test led to the same conclusion, I explained before.
So Adam, I can say your cable is excellent and more over good priced.
Now I do not have CD player for inner cabling, so you have to wait for photos. (Now I am waiting for a cheap Philips Cd304 and a broken-down CD350 to tweak. Earlier I preferred Sony CD players, now, I am not interested in at all.)
